EcoScrub Deep Bed Systems are suitable for applications where high contaminant concentrations need to be treated, and long-term adsorption capacity is required. They are commonly used in industrial processes and applications with high pollutant loads.
The process of the Bry-Air EcoScrub Gas Phase Filtration system is simple. The contaminated air first passes through pre-filters which trap the suspended particles, and then through the required chemical media beds, which chemically neutralise remaining gaseous impurities. The chemical media can be activated carbon and/or activated alumina impregnated with proprietary chemicals, used alone or in combination – depending on the types and concentrations of the impurities present in the air stream.
Bry-Air EcoScrub Deep Bed Systems are available in 850-3400 CMH (500-2000 CFM) which can be customised as per the requirement.
Deep bed and thin bed systems refer to different types of adsorption systems used in air and gas purification. They have distinct characteristics and are suited for specific applications. Here are the main differences between deep bed and thin bed systems:

Whereas Thin bed systems, as the name suggests, use a thin layer of adsorbent media. The media bed is much shallower compared to deep bed systems.
2. Media Utilization: These systems have a high media utilization rate because of the significant media depth. This means they can adsorb a large volume of contaminants before requiring media replacement. Whereas These Thin bed systems have a lower media utilization rate because of the thinner media layer. They may need more frequent media replacement or regeneration.
3. Media Life: Thin bed systems typically have shorter media life compared to deep bed systems. Media replacement or regeneration may be required more frequently.
4. Applications: Deep bed systems are suitable for applications where high contaminant concentrations need to be treated, and long-term adsorption capacity is required. They are commonly used in industrial processes and applications with high pollutant loads.
5. Size: Deep bed systems are often larger and bulkier due to the depth of the adsorbent media. Whereas Thin bed systems are more compact and have a smaller footprint due to the thinner adsorbent media layer.
The Deep Bed Systems are designed to operate and maintain contaminant gas levels at 1 ppb (parts per billion) or less, ensuring a high standard of air quality in industrial settings.
The efficiency of the EcoScrub system in removing contaminants can vary based on factors like the type of contaminant, system design, and operating conditions. Typically, it is designed to achieve high removal efficiencies, often exceeding 90% or more for specific contaminants.
